Jayarathna Kodippily began his carrier as a science teacher in Nuwara Eliya district (little England) – a rural area of Sri Lanka. In his forty years in the classroom Jayarathna has filled a variety of roles, including working with science teachers as an in-service adviser and chief marking officer of science.

He is focused on helping teachers and parents find ways to improve their student’s and children’s education. He presents science programs for public in NENESA TV. He is a freelance educational content developer and freelance writer. He creates number of science books, workbooks, novels and scifi. He is a member of the panel of writers of science textbooks for government schools and teacher’s guides. He is the author of the book “Unpossessed Motherland” – Presidential Award Winner of literature.

These lessons for middle school children are meant for self-directed online learning. Our lessons contain a short introduction or quick reference and link to other free online resources to help the students understand the topic. All lessons also include questions to assess what students have learned.

School of Scientia is an educational site. It will discuss everything about science. At first, we categorized our lessons into three stages. Beginners of secondary/middle school can follow their lessons appear on STAGE 1. STAGE 2 is reserved for middle classes and STAGE 3 is for higher classes – GCE(OL), IGCSE, GCSE, GED, HSD, OL, CBSE, ICSE, SSC etc.

 

Please sine-up our FORUM. Then you can share posts. It’s easy to share a post on Face Book, Twitter and G+. Do it all from your phone. Write posts, add images, leave comments, share posts on social media etc. Click camera icon to add any image of your choice.
